Bic Sport Java Sit-On-Top Kayak: Introduction
The Bic Sport Java Sit-On-Top Kayak are made to accept lifelines running down each gunwale. This is from my point of view an excellent feature. It offers the swimmer a place to make a grab for the kayak and can be used in entering and reentering the kayak without making a big fuss in deep water. In addition the lifelines provide options for tie off of gear and could be very useful to snorklers and divers. Some assembly required. You have to string the lifeline through the eyelets and tie it off. The directions are simple and clear on how to do this and there is room to be creative in your own way.

Bic Sport Java Sit-On-Top Kayak: Pros & Cons
Sit-on-tops are the most user-friendly. They’re very stable, easy to get in and out of and there is no feeling of confinement on them even for beginners. They’re also self-bailing, which means they have small holes (also known as “scupper holes”) that allow the water to drain right through them. Another big thing about sit-on-tops is that you can get on and off them as you wish. All these features make the sit-on-top kayak a great choice for nervous beginners, for warm environments and for paddling with kids who love to swim.
The downside to sit-on-top kayaks is that you’re guaranteed to get at least a little wet while paddling, while sit-inside kayaks allow you to stay dry so it depends a lot in what water you are swimming.
Conclusion
So in conclusion I can say that Sit-on-tops are very good for beginners but it doesn’t mean that if you are experienced you will get bored with it. The main point is that the Sit-on-tops are not for those who look for tons of adrenaline flowing in their veins , these are more used for relaxation purposes but still if you are brave enough you can also use them in enviroments which are not user friendly but it’s not recommended.
